small lines are not that a big problem

i'm currently starting to hate those fansubbers that dun do they work properly.. not that i'm not greatful.. but serious.. the latest one i saw was... this guy was mumbling his words.. the fansub just ignore the whole sentance!! OMG! can't they check it out in the manga?!

that's why i sometimes dun read it.. just listen a few time b4 actually reading the subtitles.. it helps actually.. your jap that's it

^.^ i nvr liked buying animes.. their sub really suck.. anyway.. there's another way to imporve your jap. you take an epi of any anime.. 1st round.. watch it while reading the subtitles.. then the next few rounds, try to pick up short words to listen.. then dun read the sub.. it worked for me. ^^

yea, you guys are so right...some animes that i bought.... the subtitles sux like mad, i cant even understand them, cz the grammar and sentence structure were incomprehensible @@!!
and i usually listen to the characters instead of looking at the subs.
even without subs, i can listen quite well lolz.

Ngin-chan, gomen ne, but I'm not Japanese language translator n only amateur in this field. Some more I'm not even have any cert in Japanese as u do ~blush~lol!

I don't believe attending class (OMG, i'll died, lay on sofa whole day watching anime is totally different case), cuz my English doesn't got any improvement though I invest a lot in it. Trust the acquisition learning, as what I succeed in my Cantonese, haha (but slow progress la cuz no one to refer even though got doubts). I appreciate n prefer what u updated recently in phrases @NarutoOK than u only quote the vocabulary previously.

Got one question,@NarutoQ is onaka suika correct in speech? Cuz the anime character said so although other characters say the familiar one- onaka ga suite. When can they omit but still grammartically correct?

yuri> thanks ^.^ i'm currently trying to translate manga but it's kinda hard actually. cause i know what they are sayin in jap, but i can't phrase it in english @.@ i've only done a few pages and i'm going crazy.

oh.. i dun have a cert. as well ya know. it's only a proficiency exam. and the lower lv summore >.< i noob.

i dun really like phrasing cause i'm not really good at it either. i'm fixing my phrasing as well.

as for your question, the correct word is supposed to be onaka ga sukimashita means i'm hungry. and onaka ga ippai desu for i'm full.

the main word here is su. su and add the tense.

HOWEVER, in speech is a totally different thing, they use a lot, A LOT of slang and short-cut words. or even old japanese [eg Atsu-hime, j-drama. history of jap] i'm currently watching Atsu-hime but i can't understand a single word!!

writing and speech is very different. it is as well in english. eg. the word Good Morning. you'll write it as Good Morning but when you talk to your friend, you'll just say the word morning.

so it's something like that. there is no really right or wrong actually. all you have to do is to get the main word then the others are grammar and slang problem.. ^.^ oh. it also applies if you are talking to a person, elder, younger, a friend, a stranger or even a family member as well. cause it has different way of speaking to an elder person and to your friend and also to your familiy member.
hope this helps
