If I install windows 7 64bit OEM will I still see old Vista 32bit files in a shadow copy?

I have bought a copy of Windows 7 64Bit OEM to install on a PC that currently has Vista 32Bit. Will the hard drive still retain old files in a shadow file. I have tried to shrink volume and create a partition but as I only have a 250 Gig hard drive Vista is not offering much space. I am upgrading so I can run more RAM.
