Does society need to start finding a way to fill the moral void left behind by the retreating Christians?

Even though I firmly believe Christians had an outdated moral system, it still made people aware of the importance of having morals. As Christianity retreats, people seem to be losing focus on the importance of having a moral system. So do you think something needs to be done to remedy this? Do you think school children need to be taught secular ethics?
