Before I begin it’s been awhile since I’ve done a review on my own. I am very sorry I haven’t hurried up with this and I’ll be sure the next one doesn’t take long.

F-Zero is a awesome racing series done by Nintendo. F-Zero GX is one hell of a epic game as Nintendo wasn’t the only mastermind be hide the game. This was done by Nintendo, Sega and Namco. Well, with 3 masterminds be hide the wheel, did you think they were going to make this crap? This game also had a arcade counterpart, F-Zero AX, where you could take your memory card and use it in the machine and get new stuff. Unfortunately I can’t Bloody find one.

On the Menu you have Grand Prix, Versus mode, Options, Replays, Story mode- wait a minute! A story mode in a racing game! Didn’t I already say that having a story in a racing game would suck? Lets take a look at this. Okay so there is an opening cutscene where two F-Zero machines are driving along, one seems to be attacking the other one. So one crashes and he leaves his almost destroyed vehicle and- OMG it’s Black Shadow! Black Shadow? Oh now I see where Sega comes in, the K.K.K. character namer is here. Nah I kid Black Shadow is always been in the series as the well armoured, slow guy. What a minute… he’s talking? But why? The series never had any dialogue… ever. Right skip the cutscene, this is far too much for me to bare right now. The whole story you play as Captain Falcon and there are a total of nine chapters, that’s good short and sweet right? WRONG! The chapters are easy at first but then it get a hell load harder after the first level, well that’s okay for the experts but newcomers might cry their eyes out Okay so now I can play the first level… oh Jesus not another cutscene, I’m going to skip all of them. So what do I have to do in this stage? Well it’s a simple collect all the goals thing, collect some, win, end of chapter. You have to buy the next chapter by using credits you get in Grand Prix. Look, this is far too much of a leap I’m going to lay down for a bit.

Okay what else is one the menu screen. Character Profiles, Practice- if you’re new to F-Zero you’re going to bloody need this, Time Attack- like time attack in most Mario Kart games this is absolutely pointless and, get ready for this, Garage- That’s right, Garage, take that up your ass Mario Kart! When you win in the Grand Prix you get ship parts you can buy in the garage. You also get credits to buy the parts, win then buy? Won’t that be annoying right? RIGHT!… oh, that didn’t sound right. In Grand Prix you start with three difficulties and the fourth one is unlocked by (cheat deleted, unlucky!) and there’s three cups the fourth cup is your by (cheat deleted, unlucky again!). Also with credits you can buy more characters, there’s a total of 30 characters, 30? Jesus, lots of racing for you, and lol at you Mario Kart and Donkey Kong Jet Race! Hardly any of these guys are clones! You could basically say that everything that you do is linked to Grand Prix.

Now this is the part where I tell you about the multiplayer… isn’t it obvious to you? It a racing game of course there’s multiplayer. Like Donkey Kong Jet Race (oh, no) you can have up to a maximum of four racers per race. Um there’s 30 racers remember? So the masterminds made it so only four can race in multiplayer. Never mind…

CONCLUSION

Not even three masterminds can conjure up a perfect game, but this is very near to perfect. This is really one for the pro’s, hell not even that.

+ A collaboration to remember greatly
+ Wonderful sounds
+ Story mode is good
- It’s really a game for pro’s otherwise you’ll quit without even trying
