Newsfeeds module not displaying all the news items..

Hi There,
I'm using the Feed Display module that comes built into Joomla 1.6. I would like to display a single newsfeed (latest) and once an user clicks on this this feed displays but also all the feeds display.
I'm not having any luck with this. This does work quite well with a feed we have in xml format but not with the rss or atom. Any suggestions what could be causing this would be really appreciated.
